When is surgical procedure required?
Face and neck lift procedures are performed for aesthetic reasons in order to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines
What does the surgery include?
The surgery will alleviate the loose skin around the mouth, nose, and jawline to improve the contour of the neck. The procedure takes 4 hours and is performed under local anaesthesia.
How to get prepared?
The day before surgery, a patient should eat light food and stop smoking and drinking alcohol and not take anything orally after a night’s sleep. The patient usually returns to work after 10 to 14 days. More strenuous activity may be resumed after 2 weeks. Sun exposure must be limited at least one month after surgery. The use of sunblock products that provide both UVA and UVB protection is recommended.
Related tests and examinations:
Physical examination and tests indicated by the anaesthesiologist (laboratory tests, ECG, heart and lung X-ray scan, physical examination by another specialist) should be performed after the examination by a plastic surgeon.
