When is surgical procedure required?
The procedure is performed for aesthetic reasons.
What does the surgery include?
With surgical procedure, a new everted position od nipples is achieved. The procedure takes 30 to 60 minutes and is performed under local anaesthesia or combined with intravenous sedation.
How to get prepared?
The day before surgery, a patient should eat light food and stop smoking and drinking alcohol and not take anything orally after a night’s sleep. The patient can return to work after 2-3 days. More strenuous activity may be resumed after 2 weeks.
Related tests and examinations:
Physical examination and tests indicated by the anaesthesiologist (laboratory tests, ECG, heart and lung X-ray scan, physical examination by another specialist) should be performed after the examination by a plastic surgeon.
