Penile elongation surgery
The procedure to lengthen the penile.
When is surgical procedure required?
The procedure is performed in cases of micropenis or penis less than 4 cm in a relaxed condition and less than 7cm in erection or at larger dimensions in the desired extension purpose.
What does the surgery include?
A portion (1/4 – 1/3) of the penis is retro-pubic (behind the pubic bone). If this segment can be brought forward, the external length is achieved. There are two restraining or check ligaments, the fundiform ligament and the suspensory ligament, that must be surgically released. By overweight men, this procedure can be implemented with liposuction or fat excision. The procedure takes 60 to 90 minutes and is performed under general anaesthesia.
How to get prepared?
The day before surgery a patient should eat light food and stop smoking and drinking alcohol and not take anything orally after a night’s sleep. The patient can return to work within a 7 days. Avoiding any sexual contact for approximately 6 weeks is recommended.
Related tests and examinations:
Physical examination and tests indicated by the anaesthesiologist (laboratory tests, ECG, heart and lung X-ray scan, physical examination by another specialist) should be performed after the examination by a plastic surgeon.
