The procedure to tighten the vaginal entrance.
When is surgical procedure required?
The operation is performed to return the vagina and the surrounding support tissue back into their previous anatomical and functional condition.
What does the surgery include?
By tightening both the external and internal vaginal diameter, vaginoplasty strengthens the perineal body which enhances female sexual gratification and pleasure. The procedure takes 60 to 90 minutes and is performed under general anaesthesia.
How to get prepared?
The day before surgery a patient should eat light food and stop smoking and drinking alcohol and not take anything orally after a night’s sleep. The patient can return to work within 7 days. Avoiding any sexual contact for approximately 6 weeks is recommended.
Related tests and examinations:
Physical examination and tests indicated by the anaesthesiologist (laboratory tests, ECG, heart and lung X-ray scan, physical examination by another specialist) should be performed after the examination by a plastic surgeon.
