On the day of a scheduled surgical procedure or therapeutic intervention you should bring in a complete medical record, your medications, personal hygiene products (toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving kit, sanitary napkins, pajamas and underwear). You can freely bring in a laptop, magazines and books. We advise you against bringing jewellery and valuable items on you, but in case you have them, they will be kept in a safe place.
When you come to Special Hospital Agram, you will talk to our administrator at the reception desk. Upon the registration in the Hospital, you will be escorted to the 3rd floor of the Hospital, where our medical staff will welcome you. You will stay in one of our comfortable apartments (one-bed, two –bed) with a panoramic view of the City of Zagreb. The apartments have a bathroom, air conditioner, TV, direct cable connection and a free Wi-Fi.
A nurse will take your medical record and medications. You will be visited by your surgeon and anaesthesiologist so you will have an opportunity to discuss the procedure once again. Then you will receive a consent form for a medical intervention, which you will verify by your signature.
A nurse will give you instructions about showering and disposable operating room clothing. Before undergoing a surgical procedure, you will receive an anxiolytic drug which you should take with a sip of water and stay in bed afterwards.
